I met Kathy and her family when we moved in Eagle Lake, we were neighbors, What was so special about Kathy was her love for animals, we had a lot in common! Every time she would get a new pet, she came right over to share with me, And that little granddaughter of hers was just a angel... Kathy did share with me how much she did love her children and grandchildren, she will be missed, from all of us, I miss you a lot Kathy God made a special angel when he made you. Forever loved///Angela Volz

I first met Kathy in the Winter Haven office, and then followed a month behing her to Bartow. One morning right after I started, I walked into the ladies room-Kathy a few steps behind me, into an empty restroom with 10 or more stalls. At that point I knew Kathy worked in the same office, but I didn't even know her name. Just as a walked into maybe the 6th stall...she shouted out ,"No not that one. That one is mine!" I was so flustered and was backing out while apoligizing as fast as I could. Kathy was laughing so hard and said she was just "Messing with me". I've never forgotten that encounter. Talk about a first impression! A few months later during Christmas, Kathy had drawn my name in the office Secret Santa exchange. She knew from my wish list that I collected anything mermaid. Kathy took the time to find one of the the prettiest and largest mermaid figurines I have. She sits proudly on my dresser as a reminder that you never know when good and slightly nutty people will cross your path.Kathy will be missed by all that knew and love her.

Mom you taught me how to be a strong, independent woman, a loving mother, and devoted wife. I know your body is gone, your soul is at peace with God, but you are still here when I need you. It's the smallest things that mean the most now. I know you will be there for me whispering in my ear. I love you and I miss our ((hugs))

I had only met Kathy in January of this year after she transferred into my department. I had great expectations of teaching her the job but little did I know she would teach me so much more about life. I am better for having know her even if it was for a short time and I pray I never forget the lessons she taught me.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Kathy at the Northeast Branch and than at the Bartow Courthouse. Kathy had a love for her family and cats, she could always make you laugh. There is some comfort knowing she is at peace.
