Obituary of Ranell B. Cauthen Leis Hillman

Mrs. Ranell B. Cauthen Leis Hillman, age 89 a resident of Auburndale passed away Tues. May 8, 2018 at her home with family. Mrs. Hillman was born July 8, 1928 in Highland Home, AL. to Amos and Daisy (Davis) Bennett. She was an Auburndale resident since 1946 coming from Alabama. Ranell was a homemaker, a charter member of the Lady Oriental Shrine of Lakeland and Order of Eastern Star Auburndale. She was a member of Lena Visit Baptist Church in Auburndale and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven.  Ranell enjoyed sewing, needle work, working in her yard, cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband of 13 yrs. – Jesse F. Cauthen; 2nd husband of 30 yrs. – Richard C. “Dick” Leis; 3rd husband of 15 yrs.– Norman McLean Hillman; son – Richard F. Leis; brother – Cecil Bennett and sister – Mattie Cowles. Ranell is survived by her loving family; Daughter: Sandy (Jim) Jordan of Auburndale, 2 Sons: John (Mary Ellen) Leis of Lakeland, Jim (Connie) Leis of Douglas, GA., Brother: Elvin “Dee” (Eileen) Bennett of Highland Home, AL. , 2 Sisters: Ella Mae Frasier of Montgomery, AL., Mary (Obie) Benton of Auburndale, Daughter-in-Law:  Doryce Leis of Lakeland, Caregiver & Special Niece: Sharon Benton of Auburndale, 10 Grandchildren, 21 Gt. Grandchildren, 6 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren, Many nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 11th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
