Obituary of Jerry Harold Parker

Mr. Jerry Harold Parker, age 76 a longtime Polk County resident passed away Sun., April 7, 2013 at Auburndale Oaks due to COPD. Mr. Parker was born April 3, 1937 in Manila, Ark. to Claude & Bessie (Jackson) Parker. He was a retired dragline operator in the construction industry, enjoyed fishing and was a United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jimmy; sister Joyce and granddaughter-Jenna. Jerry is survived by his loving family: 3 sons: James Parker of GA, Fred Parker, Kevin (Brandy) Parker, 2 daughters: Cindy (Duke) Pearson, Cheryl (Ricky) Parker, all of Lakeland, brother Glen (Jane) Parker, Winter Haven, sister Etta Bunting, Lakeland, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
