Obituary of John William Brandt

Mr. John William Brandt, Sr. "Papa John" age 81 a resident of Auburndale went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Tampa General Hospital surrounded by his loving family due to hart failure. Mr. Brandt was born October 18, 1931 in Linden, New Jersey to William Fredrick and Christine (Nicolas) Brandt. He was an Auburndale resident since the 1970's coming from Orlando and in 1950 he graduated from Orlando Senior High School. John was a retired Contractor (owner & operator of John Brandt Acoustics). He attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven, was a member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing cards, listening to classic country music and traveling. John was a boxer, carpenter, hunter, cowboy, contractor, fisherman, but most of all loved his role as a dad, grandfather & great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife - Doris Theresa Fiezl Brandt; son - John W. Brandt, Jr. and sister - Rose Meriam. John is survived by his loving & devoted family: Son - Bruce Robert (Young Ae) Brandt of Auburndale, FL; Daughters - Frances Christine (Michael) Perry of Sylacuga, AL and Lynn Elizabeth (Wayne) Donn of Auburndale, FL; Sister - Mary Elizabeth Erwine of Winter Haven, FL; Daughter in Law - Christine Tobler Brandt of Lakeland, FL; 10 Grandchildren - Carol, LaRay, Westly, Rose, Tim, Coral, Damien, Doreen, Johnathan & John, III; and 10 Great Grandchildren - Courtney, Katie, Caitlin, Kody, Jacob, Kathleen, Conner, Time Jr., Brandie & Amelia.
