Obituary of James David Jones

AUBURNDALE - Mr. James David Jones, Sr. age 86 a resident of Auburndale passed away Mon. May 13, 2013 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure. Mr. Jones was born May 26, 1926 in Dunedin, FL. to William Edgar and Edith Hagin Jones. He was a lifetime Florida resident and Auburndale resident since 1972. He was a retired processing manager in the food industry, member of Dixie Highway Baptist Church, member of the American Legion Post 8, member of DAV, enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. James was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and he loved his family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters. James is survived by his wife of 57 years Eleanor Jones of Auburndale. 3 Sons; Jimmy Connie Jones of Winter Haven, FL., Ronnie Lorri Jones of Auburndale, FL., John Shelly Jones of Dixon, MO. 2 daughters; Marion Michael Townsend of Auburndale, FL., Vicki Terry Morris of Winter Haven, FL., brother Robert Thelma Jones of Ocala, Fl. , 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 00 AM Thurs. May 16, 2013 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Wed, May 15, 2013 from 6 00 til 8 00 PM at the funeral home.
