Obituary of John James Digilio

AUBURNDALE - John J. Digilio died peacefully on June 7, 2013, of natural causes. Jack was born in 1928 in Yonkers, New York. During his military service he was stationed in Germany. In 1953 he joined the Yonkers Police Department. After retiring from the police department in 1973 Jack worked for the White Swan Uniform Company and later moved to upstate New York. In his later years, Jack retired to Auburndale, Florida with his wife Bess. Jack was active in the community where he lived and enjoyed following New York Yankees baseball. He is survived by his loving wife Bess Digilio, his son John Digillo Jr. of Cortlandt Manor, New York, his stepchildren and several grandchildren. He will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Donations may be made to the Westside Ridge Community Watch Team, 911 Westside Ridge Blvd., Auburndale, FL 33823
