Obituary of Dorothy Bozeman

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Dorothy Sue Bozeman, age 71 a resident of Auburndale passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at her home due to heart failure. Mrs. Bozeman was born October 10, 1941 in Florala, Florida. Her adopted parents were William & Mattie Midgett and her parents were I.D. & Lulu Bell (Grimes) Avant. She was an Auburndale resident since 1972 coming from Punta Gorda, Florida. She was a homemaker, member of the Polk City Church of Christ and owner /operator with her husband of Ray Bozeman Trucking & Excavating Company. She was preceded in death by her parents; adoptive parents; husband of 54 years - Windham "Ray" Bozeman; son - Kenny Ray Bozeman; granddaughter - Danielle Rebecca Bozeman; sister- June and brother - Joe. Dorothy is survived by her loving family; 2 Daughters: Belinda Jo (Martin) Howell of Winter Haven, FL. Sheila Ann (Larry) Coble of Bedford, TX, 5 grandchildren: Devin, Sarah, Patrick, Austin & Kenny 2 great-grandchildren Bridgette and Alyssa. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 6:00 til 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
