Mrs. Edith Chapman Post Israel, age 91 of Auburndale, Florida passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Residential Center in Auburndale. Mrs. Israel was born December 18, 1922 in Jacksonville, Florida to Epaphras and Verna (Pierce) Post. She lived in Jacksonville her entire life until moving to Auburndale 18 years ago. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and after marriage served as the Vice President of the George A. Israel, Jr. Company in Jacksonville and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Mrs. Israel was preceded in death by her parents and husband - George A. Israel, Jr. She is survived by her son - George A. (Joan) Israel, III of Jacksonville, Florida; 2 Daughters - Barbara I. (Jeff) Lane of Miami, Florida and Anne I. (Gary) Calhoun of Auburndale, Florida. 4 grandchildren - George A. Israel, IV of Jacksonville, Florida; Emily P. Israel of Jacksonville, Florida; Charles H. Calhoun of Auburndale, Florida and Lee C.
