Obituary of James William Wood

Mr. James William Wood, age 86 a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home in Auburndale due to heart failure. Mr. Wood was born March 26, 1927 in Houston County, Alabama to William James and Ressie (Harrison) Wood. He was an Auburndale resident for 56 years coming from Alabama. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during WWII and a shipping & receiving clerk. James was a member and a deacon of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Auburndale. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy; 2 brothers & 1 sister. James is survived by: 3 sons: Danny (Alma) Wood of Auburndale, Dennis (Kandy) Wood of Auburndale, Donnie (Brenda) Wood of Ironton, OH, 2 daughters: Delonda (Edwin) Garcia of Brazil, Denna (Bubba) Hardwick of Lakeland, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
