Obituary of Wilmon Donley Davis

Wilmon "Bud" Donley Davis Sr. 93, of Polk City, FL; departed this life to go home to the Old Master, on Feb. 21, 2014. Wilmon was born November 20, 1920, in Early County, GA to the late Harvey and Reggie Davis (McKinnon). Wilmon is preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings, Carlton Davis, LZ Davis, Lura Murkerson and Myrtle Jones. After serving in the 1st Calvary Division in WWII from 1942-1945, he returned home to marry his loving wife Juanita Johnson of Early County, on October 2, 1948. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Johnson of Blakely, his children Judy Goodman (David) of Auburndale, FL; Wilmon Donley Davis Jr. (Jan) of Asheville, NC; Rodney Davis (Cassie) of Jacksonville, FL. Grandchildren William Goodman, Heather Artis (Davis), Shilah Bass (Goodman), and Clayton Davis. He was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren Taylor and Benjamin Goodman, Brooke Bass and Parker Artis. Services will be held Thursday, February 27th at Kersey Funeral Home 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auberndale, FL 33823 . Viewing will start at 12:00pm, service starts at 1:00pm. A graveside service will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
