Obituary of Martha Joyce Clemmons

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Martha J. Clemmons, age 72, a resident of Auburndale passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Good Shepherd House due to heart failure. Mrs. Clemmons was born November 14, 1941 in Winter Haven to Harvey and Aline (Woods) Thompson. She was a lifetime resident of Winter Haven and of the Pentecostal faith. She was a retired custodian with Polk County Schools. She was a member of the Media Social Family Worship with Jimmy Swagart of Baton Rouge, enjoyed gospel music, the mountains and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William E. Clemmons and 5 brothers. Martha is survived by: 2 daughters: Karen (Stephen) Reynolds of Auburndale, Brenda (Matt) Reis of Winter Haven, 2 sisters: JoAnn (Mervin) Johnson of Auburndale, Donna Barrea of Winter Haven, 3 grandchildren: April, Billy & Parker, 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held before from 11-12 at the funeral home.
