Obituary of Beatrice Ethell Holmes

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Beatrice Ethell Holmes, age 91, (January 27, 1923) of Auburndale passed away Tuesday March 4, 2014, at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale of natural causes. Mrs. Holmes was a native of Houston County, Alabama and had lived in our community since 1975 coming from Green Cove Springs, Florida. She was a grader for Coca Cola and was a member of the Gateway Assembly of God Church in Auburndale. She was preceded in death by her parents Alton and Tullie Prevatt. 2 sisters and a brother. Survivors include her husband of 75 years, W.T. Holmes of Auburndale; 2 sons Billy Ayon (Gladys) Holmes and Ricky Waylon (Jackie) Holmes, all of Auburndale; daughter Wanda Kaye (Sid) Foster of Jacksonville, Fl.; 2 sisters Valeria Capps of Gordon, Alabama and Sara Jewell (Charles Robert) Ingram of Pansey, Alabama; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Auburndale Memorial Park.
