Obituary of George Kaufinger

Reverend George Kaufinger, age 80, of Davenport, formerly of Lakeland went home to his Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 26, 2014 due to cancer. Rev. Kaufinger was born in Guilford, N.Y. to George & Ruth Kaufinger and had lived in Florida since 1990. Rev. Kaufinger was a retired Bank Executive and an Ordained Minister. He pastored several churches, enjoyed evangelistic work and did extensive traveling where he ministered on numerous cruise lines. Rev. Kaufinger also authored several books, including "A Gardner Weeds God's Creation" and "Wealth of a Nation". He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Kaufinger McCune and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Loretta Kaufinger of Davenport, a son, Dr. Gregory Kaufinger of Anderson, In., daughter, Sabrina Olsa of Santa Rosa, Ca., a sister, Ruth Seeber of Clifton Park, N.Y. and grandchildren, Jason, Alex, Philip and Anna.
