Obituary of Gordon Lee Wood

Mr. Gordon L. Wood, age 85 of Lake Wales and formerly of Auburndale, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 due to heart failure. Mr. Wood was born in Pigeon, Michigan and had lived in this area for the past 35 years. He was a retired Line Operator at Dial in Auburndale. Mr. Wood enjoyed playing bingo, car racing, fishing and smokin' cigars and dippin' Skoal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Wood and a stepson, Daryl Coley. He is survived by 2 sons, Jeffrey Wood and Doug Wood, both of Michigan, 2 stepdaughters, Lorri (Gary) Taylor of Lake Wales and Debbie (Denny) Weidman of Michigan, 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and his Miniature Schnauzer companion Sir Higgins.
