Obituary of Sandra Lee Ross

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" L. Ross, age 70, a resident of Auburndale passed away Mon., June 23, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice due to cancer. Mrs. Ross was born Sept. 21, 1943 in Rochester, NY, to Peter & Marjorie (Wotherspoon) Salina. She was a resident of Auburndale since 1985 coming from Marcy, NY. She was a retired receptionist for the City of Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from East High School in NY Class of 1962. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven, member of the Winter Haven Nautical Club, enjoyed gardening, music, outdoors, socializing & her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sandy is survived by her loving family: husband of 49 years: Frank Ross of Auburndale, son: Joseph Ross of West Townsend, VT, daughter: Lisa Ross of Rochester, NY, sister: Sharon (Al) Simon of Rush, NY, gr. daughter: Megan Gray of Pine, CO, several extended family In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either: Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL. 33823 or Humane Society of Polk County, 555 Sage Rd., Winter Haven, FL. 33881. A funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Fri., June 27, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 532 Ave. M NW, Winter Haven. Visitation will be held Thurs. June 26, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Kersey Funeral Home.
