Obituary of James Walter Whidden

Mr. James "J.W." Walter Whidden age 83 a lifetime Polk County resident passed away Wed. June 25, 2014 at Auburndale Oaks due to heart failure. James was born Sept. 26, 1930 in Bartow to Walter & Ruth (Knowles) Whidden. He was a retired laborer and a member of Westside Baptist Church in Auburndale. He enjoyed making knives & being a craftsman. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister - Polly Stewart. James is survived by; 2 Sons: Morgan Whidden of Lakeland Ernest Whidden of Winter Haven 2 Sisters: Mary Margaret Crumley of Winter Haven Roberta Lassiter of Palm Bay 7 Grandchildren: Jessica, Joshua, Rebecca, Lena, Shawn, Aron & Mark Funeral services will be 10 AM Sat. June 28, 2014 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday June 27, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
