Obituary of Lewis Willard Tomlinson

Mr. Lewis "Willard" Tomlinson, age 88 of Winter Haven passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Winter Haven due to respiratory failure. Mr. Tomlinson was born in Dundee to Frank and Vada Tomlinson and had lived his entire life in this area. He was a retired Law Enforcement Officer in Polk County for 20 years as well as a WW II Navy Veteran. Mr. Tomlinson enjoyed his many "building projects" and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Tomlinson of Winter Haven, 2 sons, Lewis F. Tomlinson of Auburndale and Tony L. Tomlinson of Cocoa, a daughter, Anita Tomlinson Cruz of Winter Haven, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place Friday at 3 PM at the Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale with visitation beginning at 2 PM. Those so desiring may make memorial contributions to mds-foundation.org.
