Obituary of W. J. Looper

Mr. W.J. "Jim" Looper, age 92 a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice Residential Center in Auburndale due to natural causes. Mr. Looper was born August 6, 1922 in Monterey, TN. to William Haskell and Orga Zula (Norred) Looper. He was an Auburndale resident for 44 years coming from Orlando. Jim was a retired Owner & Certified Pest Control Operator (worked for Termenix, Orkin and then opened his own business). He was a member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale, a 32nd degree Mason, enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. Jim was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents and son - Edward Eugene Looper in 2006. Jim is survived by his loving family; Wife of 67 Years: Frances Looper of Auburndale, FL. Daughter: Deena Louise (Ronnie) Pankey of N. Little Rock, AR. 3 Sisters: Anna (Paul) McCowan of Marion, IN. Beulah Thompson of Monterey, TN. Etta Thompson of Cookeville, TN. 6 Grandchildren: Amanda, Edward, Cynthia, Brittany, Branda & Brylon 6 Great Grandchildren: Aaron, Danielle, Lilli, Lauren Kate, Lucy & Samantha In lieu of flowers the family request donations to either; Lena Vista Baptist Church Building Fund, 213 Florida Dr., Auburndale, FL. 33823 OR Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL. 33823. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Kersey Funeral Home, visitation will be held before from 10 - 11 AM at the funeral home.
