Obituary of Cynthia Dale Witherington

Mrs. Cynthia Dale Witherington, age 60, a lifetime Polk County resident, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Winter Haven Hospital due to Pneumonia. Mrs. Witherington was born September 19, 1954, in Winter Haven, to David and Gladys Pauline (Monroe) West. Dale graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1972. She retired after 26 1/2 years of service from the Polk County Sherriff's Dept. as a shift supervisor. She was a past member of Eastside Baptist Church in Auburndale, and enjoyed relaxing with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Rodney West, and her granddaughter. Dale is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bill Witherington of Winter Haven, son, William D. (Jamie) Witherington II of Polk City, 2 daughters, Artimicia Witherington of Auburndale and Lisa (Rick) Willard of Winter Haven, 5 stepchildren, Bridget, Gidget, Michelle, Dion and Darren, sister Jan (Randy) West of Auburndale, 25 grandchildren, and 16 gt. grandchildren.
