Obituary of Margaret Bair

AUBURNDALE - Margaret Bair, 94, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, December 12, 2014, at home and surrounded by family. She died as she lived, accepting and grateful. She loved unconditionally and was loved by many. Margaret was born November 1, 1920, in Laurens, South Carolina. She attended East Carolina University and Duke University and became a medical laboratory technician. She, and her husband, Frederick Bair Jr., who she married March 24, 1945, moved to Auburndale in 1955. Margaret and Fred became antique collectors after his retirement. They often participated in demonstrations of early American skills, Fred in woodworking, and Margaret in fiber crafts. They passed on their interests to their descendants who return to Florida annually to join the Alafia River Rendezvous, a historic re-enactment in Homeland. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred; 2 sons, Rick and Bill; daughter-In-law, Sherra and grandson, Willie. She Is survived by Laura Bair (Jerry) Jesseph of Bloomington, IN, Martha Keller Bair of Lake Wales; 8 grandchildren, Cinnamon, Chris, Eric, Suzanne, John, Rick, Maggie, and Charlie; and 8 great grandchildren, McKenzie, Lily, Amelia, Liza, Mary Katherine, Winnie, Summer and Carson. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Auburndale. her church home.
