Obituary of James William Sargent

Mr. James William Sargent, age 80 a resident of Standish, Maine and Snowbird in Lake Alfred passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure. Mr. Sargent was born July 25, 1934 in Bangor, Maine to William & Patricia (Boutote) Sargent. James and his wife were snowbirds for the past 8 years. He was a retired Flight Line Supervisor, enjoyed tinkering around the house and yard. James was a United States Air Force Veteran (retired after 261/2 yrs. as a Chief Master Sargent). James also retired from the Cumberland County Jail as a maintenance supervisor after 23 yrs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother - Jon Sargent. James is survived by his loving family; Wife of 61 Years: Marlene Sargent of Lake Alfred, FL. & Standish, ME. 2 Daughters: Diane (Tom) Perry of Standish, Maine Deborah Smith of Standish, Maine 4 Grandchildren: Jennifer, Miranda, James & Virginia 1 Great Granddaughter: Rhiannon A service for James will be held in Maine in springtime.
