Obituary of Scott Allen Morris

Mr. Scott 'Alan' Morris, age 68, a lifetime resident of Winter Haven, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015, at his home with family due to cancer. Mr. Morris was born June 26, 1946, in Winter Haven to Walter Scott and Helen Mozelle (Smith) Morris. Alan graduated from Winter Haven High School Class of 1964 and was a United States Navy veteran. He retired from GTE after 30 years and also retired from Alcatel-Lucent after 15 years. Alan enjoyed riding & working on his motorcycles & 'Tow Mater.' He also spent numerous hours piddling around in his work shop, which he enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his parents. Alan is survived by his loving family: wife of 25 years: Diann Morris of Winter Haven, son: Rob Fowler of CA, 2 daughters: Melissa (Greg) Thompson of Auburndale, DeDe Dowdy of Auburndale, son-in-law: Ron Dowdy of Auburndale, brother: Dale (Charlene) Morris of Winter Haven, 5 grandchildren: Baylee, Rahlee, Hunter, Hagan & Hanna, mother-in-law: Peggy 'Lolly' Sims of Winter Haven, 2 brothers-in-law: James Mills of Mulberry, John Sims of FL, sister-in-law: Amber Sims of Auburndale, 2 special dogs Audrey & Flossie.
