Obituary of James Joseph Burke

Mr. James Joseph Burke, age 65, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Mr. Burke was born August 26, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to James John and Helen Irene (Risteter) Burke. He was an Auburndale resident since 2010, coming from Jacksonville. James retired from banking after 36 years as an Asset Remarketing VP. He worked in the RV & boat department for the Lakeland Auto Auction 'Manheim' for the past 5 years. James and his wife were members of 'The Sun Wheelers' motorhome club. He enjoyed fishing, cigars and loved playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents. James is survived by his loving family: wife of 37 years: Susan Burke of Auburndale, 2 sons: Thomas (Elizabeth) Burke of Lakeland, Chris Burke of Orlando, 2 sisters: Patricia (Michael) Ulmer of Clermont, Kathy Burke of Glenolden, PA, 2 granddaughters: Jazmine & Lily.
