Obituary of Elizabeth Opal Gumola

Mrs. Elizabeth O. Gumola, age 83, passed away Wed., Sept. 2, 2015, at Good Shepherd Hospice. Mrs. Gumola was born May 26, 1932, in Marion, VA to John and Lola (Hall) Faulkner. She was an Auburndale resident since 1968, coming from MD. She was a retired caregiver with Gold Care Health for 16 yrs, and a member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, and she loved roses and butterflies. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters. Elizabeth is survived by her loving family; husband of 11 yrs, Richard Gumola of Auburndale; 3 sons, Bill (Hilda) Nelson of Auburndale, James Nelson of Winter Haven, and Larry (Christine) Nelson of Auburndale; brother, Jack Faulkner of PA; 4 step sons, Brian Gumola, Thomas (Mary) Gumola, Jeffrey Gumola, and David Gumola; 3 step daughters, Carole (Hassan) Ghazale, Denise Gumola, and Janet (Gary) Fiera; 29 grandchildren; and 29 grt. grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations in Mrs. Gumola's name to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, Florida 33823.
