Obituary of Betty Jo Timmerman

Mrs. Betty Jo Timmerman, age 65, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Winter Haven Hospital on Friday, October 2, 2015. She was a lifetime Polk County resident. Mrs. Timmerman was born November 15, 1949, in Lakeland to Lewis Oliver and Elsie Mary (Wechter) Fussell. She was a retired accounts payable clerk for Scotty's and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1966. Betty was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church in Polk City. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents. Betty is survived by her loving and devoted family; husband of 16 years, Elzie Timmerman of Winter Haven; son, John E. Hamons of Bartow; 2 daughters, Tammy Ha-mons (Robert) Jackson of Lake Alfred and Mary Hamons (Orbis) Nieves of Lakeland; sister, Shirley (Dewayne) O'Connor of Tennessee; stepson, Richard (Sheila) Timmerman of Groveland; 4 grandchildren, Joshua, Brittany, Connor, and Justin; and 4 great grandchildren, Alysha, Cheyanne, Paisley, and Berrin.
