Obituary of Tommy Edwin Ennis

Mr. Tommy Edwin Ennis, age 76 a resident of Polk County passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Brookdale/Sterling House Nursing Home in Winter Haven. Mr. Ennis was born April 3, 1939 in Coffee County, Alabama to James Homer and Eleanor Mae (Heath) Ennis. Tommy was a United States Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam, also was employed as a Navy Chief. Tommy received 2 purple hearts, was wounded in Vietnam and received 15-20 more metals for his services. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church of Auburndale and a huge Alabama Crimson Tide Fan. Tommy enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father - James Ennis; mother - Eleanor Sides and daughter - Kimberly Paulk. Tommy is survived by; 4 Daughters: April (Jared) Foster of Hampton, VA. Patsy Sume of Winter Haven Tammy Ennis of Bradenton, Sharie Tillman of Lakeland, 2 Brothers: Walter "Buddy" , Beverly) Ennis of Winter Haven ,Wathan (Dot) Ennis of Andalusia, AL.Sister: Hazel Stafford of Auburndale 11 Grandchildren:Ashley, Kyle, Paris, Noah, Jonah, Rachel, Derek, Logan, Tara, Jeffrey & Loren.,4 Great Grandchildren.
