Obituary of James Lee Walker

Mr. James Lee Walker, age 86 a resident of Lakeland passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at Valencia Hills with his daughter's by his side. Mr. Walker was born July 5, 1929 in Auburndale to Ralph and Ruth (Lee) Walker. James was a lifetime Polk Co. resident and the owner/operator of Walker Groves. James graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1947, where he played basketball for the hounds and was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict (this is where he met his loving wife of 60yrs. Sally). He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Auburndale, member of Auburndale Rotary Club, attended The University of Florida and loved the Gator's and Tampa Bay Rays. James was a prankster and enjoyed laughing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife - Sally Jean Walker and brother - Ralph H. Walker. James is survived by his loving family; 2 Daughters: Karen Walker of Lakeland Barbara Walker of Lakeland, 2 Sisters: Helen W. Bentley of Maitland, Hannah W. Stambaugh of Auburndale,5 Grandchildren: Stephanie, Emily, Justin, Nathan & Lila, 5 Great Grandchildren: Steven, Isabelle, Carter, Eva & Lexi.
