Obituary of Ricardo Galindo

Mr. Ricardo Galindo age 66 a resident of Auburndale passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, after a courageous 4 ½ yearlong battle with ALS, surrounded by his family. He was born April 3, 1950 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Lucas and Maria DeLaluz (Ramirez) Galindo. He was a Polk County resident for 40 years coming from Mexico. Ricardo dreamt of becoming a United States citizen and he achieved it in 1999. He always tried to instill in his children and grandchildren the value of hard work and never giving up on your dreams & education. Ricardo retired as a maintenance mold changer for Cantex after 30 years of service. He attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Haines City and the Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland. He loved to garden, fix things around the house and spending time with his chihuahua babies. He was devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother & uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter - Camila Milagros. Ricardo is survived by his loving family; Wife of 25 Years: Maria Galindo of Auburndale, Daughter: Crystal Billings of Auburndale, Stepdaughter: Laura (Jeff) Simpson of Lakeland, Brother: Julio Galindo of Mexico 2 Sisters: Nicolasa Galindo of Mexico, Carmela Galindo of Mexico,3 Grandchildren:Tevin, Teagan & Nevaeh, 3 Step Grandchildren: Andrew, Miranda & Gabriel, Step Great Grandson: Noah Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
