Obituary of Mary Rose Houpt

Mrs. Mary Rose 'Minnie' Houpt, age 85, a resident of Bradenton, FL passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton. Mrs. Houpt was born December 5, 1930 in Corning, N.Y. to Samuel and Mary (Cavallaro) Gullo. She and her husband Edward moved to Bradenton a year ago from Winter Haven, FL, to be closer to their daughter. They were also previously from Corning, N.Y. Minnie was a retired secretary for Dresser Rand manufacturing company. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 daughters: Nancy & Linda. Minnie is survived by her loving family: husband of 63 years: Edward Houpt of Bradenton, FL, daughter Kathleen 'Kathy' (Steve) Draper of Bradenton, 3 grandsons: Jason Joris of Alpine, NY, Derek (Jodi) Draper, Ryan (Michelle) Draper, both of Palmetto, FL; 2 granddaughters Danielle (Ryan) Chimileski of Fayetteville, N.C., Stephanie Spirawk and son-in-law Mike Spirawk, both of Elmira, NY, 3 great grandchildren: Chole, Sophie & Anna Belle. There will be a private graveside in NY for Minnie. There will be no services.
