Obituary of Virginia Rose Mowery

Mrs. Virginia Rose "Ginnie" Mowery, age 95 a resident of Winter Haven passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Mowery was born June 5, 1921 in Monrovia, Indiana to Oliver Radford and Marguerite (Pearcy) Elmore. Ginnie and her husband Ted moved to Polk County in 1966 from Indiana. She graduated from Lakeland High School and the Indianapolis Indiana Business College. She retired as a Legal Secretary for Dutton & Cappas Law Firm in Indianapolis. Ginnie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburndale, a member of the United Methodist Women's and the Ladies Sunday School Class. She enjoyed painting portraits & reading. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband - Harry "Ted" Mowery in 2009. Ginnie is survived by her loving & devoted family; Son: John Mowery and his wife Margaret of Indianapolis, IN., Nephew: Kenneth Mowery and his wife Jennifer of Cicero, IN., 2 Granddaughters: Janet McWilliams and her husband Rick of Indianapolis, IN., Gwen Tucher and her husband Jared of Gillette, WY., 6 Great Grandchildren: Ethan, Wesley, Owen, Bryce, Maizie & Reid In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mrs. Mowery's name to either; First United Methodist Church, 316 Lake Ariana Blvd., Auburndale, FL. 33823 OR Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL. 33823.
