Obituary of Eunice Lee Benton

Mrs. Eunice Lee Benton, age 86 a resident of Auburndale passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Haines City Health Care Center. Mrs. Benton was born October 19, 1930 in Samson, Alabama to Walter and Eunice (Rhodes) Wingard. She was a Polk County resident since 1934 coming from Alabama and she was of the Baptist faith. Eunice retired after 30 years as a citrus blender with Ben Hill Griffin. Eunice enjoyed watching baseball and visiting with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother - Myrtle; husband - Eugene L. Benton; 3 brothers - Elbert, Donald & James and 1 sister - Marie Braswell. Eunice is survived by her loving & devoted family; Daughter: Jolee (Mickey) Garrett of Haines City, 2 Granddaughters: Josie (Richard) Powers of Rineyville, KY., Jana (Dieter) Flick of Sarasota, 4 Gt. Grandchildren: Ashley (Joe) Snyder of Columbus, OH.,Tyler Powers of Rineyville, KY., Connor Flick of Sarasota, Jordan Flick of Sarasota, 2 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren: Lincoln & Lily, Special Sister: Ann Wingard of Pensacola, Stepsister:Mary L. Whorton of Tampa, Stepbrother: James Norris of Plant City,Special Niece: Linda Wingard-Jackson of Dothan, AL., Several Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
