Obituary of Edward Thomas Roys

Mr. Edward Thomas Roys, Jr. age 69 a resident of Zephyrhills passed away Tues. Jan. 24th at his home. Mr. Roys was born April 9, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to Eddie and Linda (Valentino) Roys. He was a Zephyrhills resident since 1986 coming from NY with his family. In Long Island he was the owner & operator of a bicycle shop where he enjoyed lots of time with his son and friends. Eddie was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office after 7 years of service then also retiring from Sun Path Products Skydiving Equipment & Manufacturer. He attended Family of God Baptist Church in Zephyrhills. He was a member of the Zephyrhills AM Vets, Zephyrhills VFW Post 8154 and a member of the Moose Lodge #2276. Eddie enjoyed his man cave, singing, playing his guitar, cooking and tinkering around the house working on projects. He was preceded in death by his parents. Eddie is survived by his loving family; Wife of 18 Years: Roberta Roys of Zephyrhills, FL., Son: Chris (Jennifer) Roys of Auburndale, FL., Daughter: Jenifer (Mike Fields) Roys of Auburndale, FL., Stepson: Mike (Robyn) Nesbit of Lakeland, FL., 2 Stepdaughters: Judy (Robert) Whitlock of Brooksville, FL.,Cooky (Robert) Ringo of Zephyrhills, FL. Brother: Jim (Nan Colleen) Roys of Spring Hill, FL., Sister: Tina (Ed) Hundley of Phoenix, AZ. 4 Grandchildren: Jared, Andrew, Falyn & Taylor, 8 Step Grandchildren: Josh, Robby, Allen, Simmon, Melissa, Michael, Brandy & Baileigh, 6 Step Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Family of God Baptist Church (Building Fund), 41237 County Road 54 East, Zephyrhills, FL. 33540. A celebration of life service will be 3:00 PM Sat. Feb. 4th at Family of God Baptist Church, with Military Honors.
