Obituary of Lola Bliss

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Lola Grace Bliss, age 88, formerly of Auburndale passed to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the Sutton Home in Maitland due to ASVD. Mrs. Bliss was born in Newton, Illinois on September 27, 1920. She relocated to Florida in 1950. Grace was a former owner of GraceAnn's Beauty Shop in Auburndale and was a teacher of cosmetology for many years. She will be fondly remembered by her students at Mr. Dell's Beauty College, Travis Vocational and Ridge Vocational Schools. At the peak of her career in the 1960's she was appointed by the Governor to the State Board of Cosmetology. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by her daughter, Judy Wilson of Altamonte Springs and son Rick Bliss of Plant City: 6 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Bliss and son Stephen Bliss. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale.
