Obituary of Susie Smith

LAKELAND - Mrs. Susie Lee Smith, age 64 a resident of Lakeland passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure. Mrs. Smith was born May 3, 1944 in Colquitt, Georgia to Thomas O'Neal and Anna Christina (Creach) Lee. She was a homemaker, volunteered for children, loved to laugh, fish and play bingo. She was a resident of Polk County since the 1950's coming from Georgia. Susie was preceded in death by her parents; companion Grady Porter; and 1 sister Pat. Susie is survived by her loving family: 1 son: Billy (Leticia) Davis of Darin, GA., 2 daughters: Deyonnia (Frank) Yourn of Lakeland, FL, Katrina (Tommy) Ybarra of Lake Wales, FL, 1 sister: Sybil (Don) Rivera of Winter Haven, FL, 6 grandchildren: Cody, Mandy, Travis, Jaiden, Thomas James, and Stormee, 1 great grandson: Austin. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Kersey Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
