Obituary of Pauline Blackburn

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Pauline Agnes Blackburn-Carroll, age 91, passed away Thurs., Feb. 26, 2009 at the Spring Lake Rehab Center due to natural causes. Pauline was born August 8, 1917 in Lakeland to John Lewis and Gertrude Mary (Driggars) Combee. She was a retired sectionizer, lifetime resident of Polk Co., member of the Dixie Highway Baptist Church and loved the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Earl Carroll; 2nd husband, Riley Blackburn; daughter, Patsy Carroll Rainey; 4 brothers; 3 sisters and 1 grand daughter, Sherry. Pauline is survived by her loving family: 2 sons: Lamar M. Carroll, Larry E. (Louise) Carroll, both of Auburndale, 2 sisters: Pearl Kirkland of Lakeland, Annie Lee Howard of Lakeland, 5 grandchildren: Missy (J.W.) Watkins of Lakeland, Marcel (Steve) Schmidt of Lakeland, Tammy Erwin of Daytona Beach, FL., Teresa (Johnny) Black of Auburndale, Jane (Ron) Wilson of Titusville, FL., 3 step grandchildren: Sheila Perdue of Auburndale, Ralph (Brenda) Perdue of Auburndale, Raymond (Liz) Perdue of Lakeland, 21 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Mon., March 2, 2009 at the Kersey Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held Mon., March 2, 2009 (before services) from 10:00 till 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
