Obituary of Richard Dunlap

Richard Dunlap, Sr., 76, of Winter Haven passed away at Spring Lake Rehab Center, Winter Haven on Saturday, March 7 2009 of heart failure. He was born on June 16, 1932 in Chester, Pennsylvania to Avner & Besse Hawks Dunlap. He is an Honorably Discharged veteran having served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Dunlap moved to Winter Haven from Easton, Pennsylvania about 35 years ago. He worked as a Delivery Driver for the Tampa Tribune for 15 years and for Cypress Gardens in the Garden Department. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Archer Dunlap; 3 sons: Richard Dunlap, Jr., Scott Dunlap and David Dunlap all of Phillipsburg, NJ; 2 daughters: Joan Rodogna of Easton, PA and Bonnie Cowling of Phillippsburg, NJ; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Kersey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
