Obituary of Delmus Shelton

Mr. Delmus ?Morrell? Shelton, age 84 of Auburndale passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale from heart failure. Mr. Shelton was born February 21, 1925 in Minor Hill, Tennessee to Edgar D. & Bessie (Johnson) Shelton. Mr. Shelton served in the US Army Infantry during World War III. He was a member of the Mt Gilead Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. He was a resident of Auburndale for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons: Dennis M. Shelton and Ronald Shelton; granddaughter, Stephanie Brown; 1 brother, James ?Bud? Shelton and a sister, Judy Adams. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Shelton; grandson, Dennis Morrell Shelton of Georgia; granddaughter, Tanya Murphy of Millbrook, Alabama and a sister, Marilyn Jones of Auburndale. Funeral visitation will be held Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM for friends at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, FL. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM at the funeral home.
