Obituary of Beverly Joines

WINTER HAVEN - Mrs. Beverly Elam Joines, age 82, a resident of winter Haven passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure. Mrs. Joines was born November 11, 1927 in Ithaca, NY to Fred and Beulah (Dennis) Evans. She and her family have been resident of Winter Haven since 1967. She was a retired vice president of human resources for Adams Packing. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, member of the Thrivent Financial Services, past member of the church finance committee, past church nursery caregiver, enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved her grandsons. Beverly graduated in 1943 at the age of 16 from Ithaca High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and son - William James Elam. Beverly is survived by; 1 son, Phillip Elam of winter Haven; 2 grandsons: Brandon Lee Elam of TN and Nicholas Christopher Elam of Winter Haven. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 327 Avenue C S.E., Winter Haven. Interment will follow at the Rolling Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 21, 2010 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E. Lake Stella Dr., Auburndale.
