Obituary of Leona York

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Leona Fern (Allen) York, age 89, (February 3, 1921) of Auburndale entered into rest Sunday October 10, at the Consulate Health Care in Winter Haven of heart failure. Mrs. York was a native of Milford, Illinois and was a resident of our community for the past 30 years coming from Milford. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Winter Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents Burr and Lucille Allen, husband James R. York, son Jerry A. York, brother Denny Allen, Great Grandson Dylan Thompson and a nephew Dennis Allen. Survivors include two sons James "Jimmy" W. (Pat) York of Winter Haven and John (Debi) York of Tallahassee, Fl.; three daughters Marcie York Quayle of Merritt Island, Myra (Dewey) Fussell of Polk City and Maria (John) Sykes of Lake Wales, daughter-in-law Bonnie York of Winter Haven; two brothers Delbert (Ethel) Allen and Dick Allen both of Milford, Illinois; sister Emer (Curley) Collins of Milford; 15 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday October 13, at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
