Obituary of Eleanor Jones

Mrs. Eleanor "Ellen" Marie Jones, age 74 a resident of Auburndale,Florida passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her daughter's residence. Ellen was born May 26, 1936 in St. Albans, West Virginia to James Emanuel & Cenith Alice (Hanshaw) Pritt. She was a Polk County resident since 1980 coming from Athens, Alabama. She was a homemaker, past member of the Orange Street Church of Christ in Auburndale, member of the V.F.W. Post 4945 Ladies Auxiliary in Auburndale, she was an avid reader, enjoyed old movies, traveling and the opera. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 38 years - Charles Elvin "Dean" Jones; son - Robert Wayne "Bobby" Jones and sister - Alice Faye Shreve. Ellen is survived by her loving family; son - Church (Jim Brenner) Jones of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter - Beth (Gary) Moore of Polk City, Florida and granddaugher - LeeAnn Moore of Polk City, Florida. Graveside services will beheld 3:30 PM Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6:00 til 8:00 PM at the Kersey Funeral Home.
