Obituary of Robert Reiter

WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Robert Joseph Reiter, age 84 of Winter Haven passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 in Winter Haven due to heart failure. Mr. Reiter was born in Belgium, WI. and had lived in Auburndale since 1957 coming from Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Reiter operated Reiter Electric until his retirement and served in the Army Air Corp. as a Paratrooper and an Honor Guardsman during WW II. He was also a lifetime member of the Winter Haven Elks Lodge #1672 and served as a trustee and past chairman of the House Committee, the Auburndale Board of Adjustments, he served as past President and Zone Chairman of the Auburndale Lions Club, was a member of the Electrical Council of Florida (Ridge Chapter). Mr. Reiter is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat Reiter now of Winter Haven; 2 sons, Bob (Dawn) Reiter of Winter Haven and Tim (Beth) Reiter of Auburndale; and 4 grandsons, Michael, Matthew, Joseph, and Robby. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2 PM at the Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice at 105 Arneson Ave. Auburndale, FL. 33823.
