Obituary of PC Fox

VERO BEACH - Mr. Philmore Clark "P.C." Fox, age 95 a resident of Vero Beach, FL. passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Mr. Fox was born August 11, 1915 in Greenwood, VA. to Filmore J. and Ruth Fox. He lived near his daughter Helen in Vero Beach since 2005 coming from Auburndale where he and his family lived since 1953. He retired from Continental Can Company and the City of Auburndale. He was a United States Army (Quartermaster Corps) WW II Veteran serving from 1943-1945. He was a member of the St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Auburndale, and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Fox and special friend Lillian Dull. P.C. is survived by his 2 daughters, Pattie (Bobby) Smith of Crawfordville, FL. and Helen (Phillip) Tasker of Vero Beach, FL.; 2 granddaughters, Rachel (Doug) Ryan of Crawfordville, FL. and Carrie Smith of Jacksonville, FL.; and 1 great granddaughter, Alli Ryan. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in P.C. Fox's name may be made to either: The American Cancer Society , 809 South Florida Ave., Lakeland FL. 33801 OR VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL. 32960. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 14,2011 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Internment will follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park.
