Obituary of Carol Werner

LAKE ALFRED - Mrs. Carol Ann Werner died Thursday June 23, 2011 due to heart failure. She was born on July 17, 1942 in Peru, Indiana. Carol graduated from Peru High School and Florida Southern University with honors. She was an ESE teacher at Lake Alfred Elementary. She loved teaching children. She was an avid reader, gardener, bird watcher and outdoor enthusiast. Above all she loved the lord. Carol is survived by her husband, David Werner; daughters, Ashley James, and Heidi Price; son, Trevor Werner, and adopted son Charles Moore. Sisters, Mary Dungan of Tulsa, OK, Robin Phillips and Loren Gifford of KoKomo, IN.; grandchildren, Meredith and Deklan James, Hayes and Cecilla Werner, and Cooper Price. She is preceded in death by her parents Betty and Paul Crume, her brothers, Tom and Dorsey Crume. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Spirit Lake Community Church, 12600 Spirit Lake Rd. Winter Haven, Fl. Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale serving the family.
