Obituary of Velva Reeves

POLK CITY - Mrs. Velva L. Reeves, age 86, of Polk City, passed away Wednesday (June 29, 2011) in Polk City due to CHF. Mrs. Reeves was born in Winchester, TN, and had lived in this area for the past 62 years. Mrs. Reeves was a retired grader with Adams Packing and a member of Victory Tabernacle in Auburndale. She enjoyed an active church life and the comfort of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Arther Reeves, daughters Barbara Bradley and Lynette Reeves and grandchildren Ray Helms and Tina Robinson. She is survived by 2 sons: O'Neal (Patricia) Reeves of Hazel Green, AL, and Eugene Reeves of Auburndale, 4 daughters: Iva Helms of Huntsville, AL, Bettie (Dalton) Gun-ter of Fayetteville, TN, Glenda (Charles) Williams of Auburndale and Renea (Mike) Waters of Polk City, 2 sisters: Jeanette Congo of Toney, AL, and Thelma Hilbren of Huntsville, AL, 2 brothers Buddy Campbell of Toney, AL, and R.A. Campbell of Huntsville, AL, 21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Services will take place Sunday at 2 p.m. at Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home
