Obituary of John Akers

Mr. John Hollis Akers age 81 a resdient of Lakeland, Florida passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 at his residence due to cancer. Mr. Akers was born September 5, 1929 in Kenova, West Virginia to Flemon Jackson and Rebecca Susan (Braley) Akers. He was a mechanist, worked for FMC and then owned his own fix it shop (Godfrey's of Winter Haven). He was a past crossing guard, volunteer for Viste elderly services and was a member of the Crystal Lake Baptist Church in Lakeland.
