Obituary of Evelyn Villers

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Evelyn Marie Villers, age 81, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Thursday (Sept. 29, 2011) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to an extended battle with cancer. Mrs. Villers was born March 16, 1930 in Webster County, West Virginia to Gay & Camilla (Cummings) Louk. She was an Auburndale resident since September of 1990, coming from Buckhannon, W.Va. She was a member of The Christian Heritage Church in Winter Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard L. Villers; 3 brothers: Clarence, Lawrence & Franklin; 4 sisters Virginia, Ruth, Eleanor & Hazel; and grandson Matthew Koone. Evelyn is survived by: son Larry (Renea) Villers of Murfreesboro, TN; 2 daughters: Debra Villers of Plant City, FL, Loretta (Kenneth) Koone of Hilliard, FL; 2 sisters: Edith Moore of Madison, W.Va., Gathel Jordan of Milton, W.Va.; 6 grandchildren: Katie, Cory, Kevin, Preston, Adam & Michael. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mrs. Villers name to either: Cornerstone Hospice, 1590 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL, 33881 or Lakeland Regional Medical Center (Palliative Care Unit), 1324 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland, FL, 33805. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 at The Christian Heritage Church, 150 Spirit Lake Road, Winter Haven. Interment will be in West Virginia. Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 (tonight) from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E. Lake Stella Dr., Auburndale.
