Obituary of Brenda Gainey

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Brenda Kay Gainey, age 58 a lifetime Polk County resident passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at her residence due to heart failure. Mrs. Gainey was born May 29, 1953 in Bartow, FL. to William and Edith (Jones) Lyons. She was a homemaker and a member of Family Worship Center in Lakeland. Brenda enjoyed fishing, riding wave runners & 4 wheelers, outdoors, vacations and especially loved her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter - Tanji. Brenda is survived by her husband, Billy Gainey of Auburndale; 2 sons, Devin Gainey and Robbie Gainey of Auburndale; brother, Ronnie Lyons of Winter Haven; sister, Diane (Bill) Phillips of Haines City; niece, Nina (Steve) Gainey; nephew Little Ronnie Lyons, both of Auburndale, & 3 grandchildren, Brock Hood, Skyler Phillips and Lexxy Phillips. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held (before) services from 3:00 til 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
