Obituary of Gladys Joiner

Mrs. Gladys S. Joyner, age 93, a native of Auburndale and former resident of Palatka, passed away Friday, October 14, at the Crestview Nursing Home in Palatka, Fl. of natural causes. Mrs. Joyner was born september 20, 1918 in Dothan, Alabama to Oscar and Vallie (Whitehurst) Singleton. Gladys and her husband, Judd were Auburndale residents since 1935. She retired as an assembly Line Worker from Continental Can. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Interlachen, a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Auburndale and a liftime member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 149 in Auburndale. Gladys was a Christian lady, very active in her church, and after retiring, Gladys & Judd traveled the United States, Canada and England.
