Obituary of Bobbie Morton

AUBURNDALE - Bobbie Warren Morton, 88, passed away from respiratory failure on Sat., Oct. 29, 2011, at Winter Haven Hospital. Born Aug. 24, 1923, in Jacksonville, FL, Bobbie was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ammie "Ann" Cooley Warren. A resident of Auburndale since 1931, she was a retired bookkeeper for McNeer Groves and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Auburndale. Bobbie graduated from Auburndale High School (1940) and attended Tampa Business College. She enjoyed her church, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Morton, and her brother, Gerald E. Warren. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Lee Morton of Auburndale, and Richard Warren Morton and his wife, Brenda, of Winter Haven. She also is survived by her granddaughter, Meredith Jean Morris and her husband, Matthew, of Orlando, FL, and grandson, Jonathan Richard Morton of Winter Haven. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E. Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, FL. Services will follow at 11 a.m., with interment at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
