Obituary of Rose Merz

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Rosemary Merz, age 77, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at her home due to heart failure. Mrs. Merz was born September 2, 1934 in Webster, Massachusetts to William Paul and Marie (Gagnre) Gleason. She was a resident of Auburndale since 1987, coming from Greece, New York. She was a homemaker, member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven and a member of St. John's Catholic in Greece, N.Y. She enjoyed bowling, knitting and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ronald Joseph Merz; and daughter Deborah Ann Merz. Rosemary is survived by: 2 sons: Ronald Merz of McDonough, GA, Michael (Tammy) Merz of Birmingham, AL; 2 brothers: Paul (Pat) Gleason of VA, William "Bill" Gleason of CO; 2 grandchildren: Adrienne York Ames of Pemberton, N.J., Kayla Michelle Merz of Birmingham, AL; 1 great granddaughter is due in January.
